Driver-Per Diem

$17 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement.

Hours will vary.

Overview: Provides transportation to itinerant staff who are visually impaired. The Driver/Reader may provide occasional transportation to blind/visually impaired clients to and from The Iris Network, using their own safe and reliable vehicle or an agency vehicle. May also provide assistance with visual tasks to passengers requiring visual assistance.

Job Duties:

• Provide safe, reliable and timely transportation to staff members and/or clients, who are visually impaired;
• Assist with reading, paperwork or other tasks which may require site assistance as necessary;
• Adhere to The Iris Network safety standards and procedures;
• Other duties as assigned.
