Job Duties

Thank you for your interest in employment at St James Place. We are looking for welcoming, enthusiastic, hardworking individuals eager to deliver the highest level of service to our residents and their guests.  A position in the Dining Services department requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while providing unparalleled customer service to all residents and visitors of Saint James Place. Employees will be expected to serve in our casual and fine dining restaurants and must have flexible hours and the ability to work most weekends.  

The waiter position involves engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking accurate food and beverage orders, communicating effectively with residents and the culinary team and serving our residents with caring hospitality. He or she performs a variety of duties related to meal service, including greeting residents, taking orders, stocking, cleaning, catering for meal service. The wait-staff presents ordered choices and responds to any other inquiries or requests regarding food and beverage selections. Responsible for removing courses and dinnerware as they are completed.  The Wait-staff members assist with cleaning and other kitchen duties as needed.  

The ideal candidate will have a personable demeanor, good communication and listening skills, and the ability to perform the physical aspects of the job.

Physical Requirements: Requires extended standing and/or walking. Ability to lift heavy objects. Frequent bending and stooping.
