Summary of Job Function

As the Vice President of Resident Experience, you will foster the human experience. You will collaborate and build strong relationships with clear communication. Must be a RN or LPN.

Essential Responsibilities for Building People

Deep Knowing

  • Build meaningful relationships with residents through Life Memorization, FRAMEs, Assessments, SAGELY
  • Build meaningful relationships with team members through 1:1s and presence
  • Build relationships with families through presence and family meetings

Go to the Balcony

  • Observe to see things clearly
  • Separate the emotion from the event
  • Develop a response that is well thought out, clear and kind

Biohacker

  • Seek to find the best possible solution to health outcomes
  • Use creative solutions to support residents and community life
  • Use non-pharm approaches when possible

Essential Responsibilities for Building Census

Creates an experience so good the guest can’t wait to become residents

Move-in Stay-In

  • Residents do not move out due to a negative experience
  • Focus on resident’s satisfaction
  • Equip the team in spotting early warning signs

Regulation Guru

  • Keep up to date on all state guidelines, codes and licensure (residency) agreements
  • Able to interpret, prepare and assure the team and community is compliant throughout the year
  • Ensure team members are working in their scope of practice
  • Know your surveyors/regulator

  • Residents right to choose

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent people leadership and guest service skills required
  • Acute business acumen, knowledge of development, knowledge of marketing and leadership skills that highlight the ability to influence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Innovative and creative self-starter, with the ability to devise solutions to complex problems, and to implement those solutions hands-on
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan for, execute and monitor business performance

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Nursing from a three or four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must be a RN or LPN
  • 2-3 years’ experience work in an administrator role preferred
