Summary of Job Function

The right person for our Community Relations Director role (aka full-time community sales lead) is a “hunter with a heart”. The Community Relations Director is responsible for the overall sales strategy and is an individual who creates and drives business for the community by exceeding community occupancy projections.

Essential Responsibilities for Building People

Drive Community into Community

  • Involve community leadership team in all events
  • Complete event planning form for each event 10-12 weeks in advance of event date
  • Prepare for events outside of selling hours
  • Utilize Marketplace for ordering invitations, email templates, flyers
  • Post event evaluation within 24 hours to determine what worked well

Sourcing Partner Reciprocity

Essential Responsibilities for Building Profit

Determine exactly how you will spend your time in the upcoming week.  Time is your most valuable resource.

 Party With Yardi

  • Check for duplicate contacts before entering new ones
  • Enter notes for all activities daily, including prospects and sourcing partners
  • Complete all past due activities

Begin Week with a Plan

  • Execute all community sales and marketing programs
  • Assure that sales & marketing budgets for the community are maintained
  • Plan you week with the number of points you have studied
  • Create list of non-negotiables

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess a genuine heart and passion for impacting older adults and improving their quality of life
  • Have at least two years of experience in sales/business development and a demonstrated ranking in top 10% of sales team
  • Am approachable, an engaged listener and a great communicator
  • Have strong closing skills
  • Have an “intrepreneurial spirit”-a mindset that embraces innovation and is skilled at problem solving
  • Demonstrate GRIT-passion and perseverance for long term goals
  • Represent unquestionable ethics and integrity
  • Display strong organizational skills as well as the ability to follow-up, detail-oriented, ability to multitask; prioritize projects and objectives while meeting deadlines

Education and Experience

  • 2 years of sales/business development experience, preferably within medical/healthcare sales or the Senior Housing Industry
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
