Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN - ($2,500 Sign on Bonus for bilingual candidates))

We have various shifts available  

shifts are either 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm

The Licensed Practical Nurse’s primary responsibilities are making sure that our residents are receiving proper care and overseeing the personal care staff on the floor during their shift. This involves making sure the HHA’s are following the care plans set up by the resident’s physician or nurse. All employees are responsible for “assisting” residents with normal daily living activities.

Job duties:

• Timely and efficient documentation of any resident issues, concerns, and follow through.
• Assist with In-service and education for all Personal Care staff.
• Insulin injections and BG Checks
• Maintaining compliancy at all times.
• Employee evaluations and skills assessments as needed.
• Any task requested by your Manager.
• Communicating with residents physicians and family members as needed

Supervisory Duties:

• Supervision and communication of HHA’s.
• Attend all Supervisor and Managers meetings.
• Attend all HHA meetings
• Make sure aides sign for all care.
• Follow up on aide complaints.
• Must stay until appropriate coverage is in facility

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform physical activity that require moving ones whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, bending and pushing, where the activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as in the physical handling of materials.
• Employees must not have any weight restrictions, to avoid injury.

Technology Requirements:

• Must have basic understanding of computers.
• Must have basic understanding of Microsoft Office Programs.

Compliance Requirements:

• Must have New York State Nursing License .
• Must have Valid NYS Drivers license
• Must have documentation of MMR’s (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, showing an immune result.)
• Must have current Physical (within 30 days of employment) .
• Must have current TB test with a negative result, within 30 days of hire date.
