Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist with vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash receptacles, and other cleaning duties for resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas in the community
- Assist in cleaning of occupied residences and common areas
- Assist with cleaning and refurbishing of vacated residences in a timely manner
- Schedule and implement deep cleaning procedures
- Oversee and assist with laundry
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Interview and select new associates
- Schedule and train housekeeping staff
- Generate reports as needed
- Listen to and respond to resident problems, complaints, and suggestions regarding housekeeping
Skills/Requirements:
- 2 years of work experience in a hospitality environment (hotel, country club, or resort)
- 6 months supervisory experience
- Great organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
- Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals, as well as being exposed to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move 30 pounds
