Job Description

Job Title: Housekeeper

Department: Housekeeping

Reports To: Director of Maintenance

FLSA Status: Hourly; Non- Exempt

Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the community.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Clean Public and common areas as scheduled.
  • Clean apartments as defined in your assignment.
  • Resident laundry, as scheduled.
  • Report concerns or observations about residents to supervisor.
  • Ensure a safe living environment for our residents.
  • Maintain an accurate record of services provided to residents (cleaning, personal laundry, etc.)
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Executive Director.

Qualifications:

  • Housekeeping ability.
  • Willingness to work and learn.
  • Enjoy working with older adults.
  • High school diploma or GED required with reading, comprehension and writing ability at a 12th grade level or higher.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and smell. The employee frequently is required to use fine motor skills, use of housekeeping tools and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Bending, stooping, sitting, climbing, or balancing, and lifting to 50 pounds is required.

Miscellaneous: Must attend all required training and staff meetings.
