Responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s learning needs, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members through an organization wide Education Institute.
Pay: $72,000 - $92,000 per year
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
- Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
- Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
- Conduct needs assessments for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Develop educational training curriculum based on regulatory changes, identified staff and/or department needs, identified Management and/or Leadership training needs.
- Identify and schedule annual required training utilizing internal and external resources, ensuring staff compliance with educational requirements and maintaining documentation on completed training.
- Serve as initial contact for students and interns from local universities and technical schools to help promote the field of geriatrics.
- Responsible for all staff annual Virtual Dementia experiential training and education software program compliance.
- Development of career pathing and competencies.
- Supervise the activities and outcomes of Clinical Development Coordinators and Professional Development coordinator.
- Provide programs that contribute to improving quality metrics while promoting operational efficiency and/or effectiveness.
- Promote the field of aging by making available in-services to residents, visitors, various associations, partners, and educational institutions.
- Promote resident-centered care.
- Performs other duties, as assigned
- Minimum of four to five years of teaching experience at the adult level required.
- Experience in designing educational programs independently and working with teams-health care related experience preferred.
- Master’s Degree with a focus on education preferred.
