Salary: 55k-65k/annually

Location: The Crestmoor at Green Hills an Independent Living and Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of front-of-house dining staff.
  • Deliver and/or monitor new hire staff training and orientation. Perform regularly scheduled staff in-service training.
  • Conduct and deliver performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Hire, discipline, assess, and recommend employment actions for direct reports.
  • Recommend compensation at hire, promotion, and merit.
  • Inventory small ware, tableware, and linen for all venues. Maintain accurate inventory of food and beverage items in satellite venues.
  • Ensure the dining venues are clean and set up to company standards for all meals and functions. Ensure cleanliness is maintained during service hours.
  • Support all front-of-house positions in the event of absenteeism.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of meal count reports.
  • Assure proper functioning of the POS systems and information gathering from the system.
  • Ensure resident and staff safety by removing any safety hazards and assuring staff is removing and returning mobility assistance devices while dining.
  • Assure adequate staffing by developing and maintaining schedules using the scheduling tool. Provide coverage for absences either personally or through subordinate staff.
  • Liaison between front-of-house and back-of-house to assure accurate and timely completion of resident and guest orders.
  • Ensure company hospitality standards are met, assuring all residents and guests are greeted with a smile and that each resident is seated.
  • Solicit and receive resident suggestions and/or comment cards regarding their dining experiences.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and evaluate quality assurance audits performed by others.
  • Perform daily stand-up with direct reports. Discuss daily menu so that staff can explain selections to residents and guests.
  • Attend dining services department meetings as scheduled.

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
  • Member of the community’s emergency response team.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
  • Assist with special projects or tasks and other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • High School Degree/ Serve Safe Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • One to two years of related experience including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Proficient in communicating written and oral instructions.
