Manage the delivery of care to Assisted Living Residents in a compassionate and timely manner under the direction of the Nurse Team Leader or designee.
Dispense routine daily medications, both prescription and non-prescription.
Observe Residents and report/document changes in their condition.
Sign medication records and re-order medications according to policy and procedure.
Provide first aid in emergency situations and report the condition to the Nurse Team Leader and/or physician; complete incident reports as needed.
Assist Residents with activities of daily living (ADL) and encourage appropriate self-care, utilizing the concept of restorative nursing.
Adhere to all policies and procedures related to Infection Control and safety regulations.
Leads by example, maintaining a professional work relationship with team members, Residents, Clients, Members, Patients, and family members.
Qualifications:
NJ State Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
Seasonal flu vaccine required.
Knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology.
Strong clinical skills.
Commitment to person-centered care.
Excellent communication and critical thinking.
Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Sensitivity to dementia care needs.
Experience in caregiving, or memory care is preferred.
