Kendal at Hanover is a nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community, and home to 400+ residents. We have a great full-time opportunity for aĀ Assisted Living Dining Team Lead.

The hours for this position are 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Tuesday through Saturday.

This position has a base rate of $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, but Kendal also offers generous shift differentials. For non-exempt staff, on weekdays, second shift hours worked receive an additional $1.50 per hour. First shift hours worked on weekend days receive an additional $2.00 per hour, while second shift hours worked on weekends receive an additional $3.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesĀ include the following:

  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff
  • Assist in monitoring staff to ensure residents are served correctly and that jobs are completed accurately, acting as a role model for all staff and communicating with the Director of Resident Wellness for any follow-up related to these areas.
  • Lead full service in the dining room, including supporting staff needs, taking resident orders, delivering food and drinks, and washing dishes as needed.
  • Cook breakfast items to order and train staff to cook items to order
  • Communicate with residents about meal selection, assisting with menu completion and meal delivery when needed.
  • Support nursing staff with the resident dining experience to include tasks such as: transporting meals, meal and snack set up, and assisting residents with eating.
  • Assist in transporting residents using safe techniques to and from meals and programs.
