As a Regional Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple senior living communities in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, ensuring high quality resident care, compliance with regulations, financial stability, and achieving company goals by leading and supporting the Executive Directors at each community, while maintaining consistent standards across the region. In addition, you will carry out assignments as directed by VP and COO. 

Job Description

Operational Oversight:

  • Monitor and manage the overall operations of multiple senior living communities within their region, including resident care, staffing, activities, dining, and facility maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to senior living.
  • Conduct regular site visits to asses’ operations, identify areas for improvement, and provide coaching to local leadership.

Fiscal Management:

  • Develop and manage the operational budget for their region, including revenue generation, cost control, and expense management.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with community leadership to optimize occupancy rates and maximize profitability.

Leadership and Staff Development:

  • Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing Executive Directors and other key staff in each community within their region.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to community leaders.
  • Foster a positive work culture and promote employee engagement across the region.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure consistent high standards of care for residents.
  • Strategically respond to resident satisfaction surveys and address concerns promptly.
  • Play an active role in incident reporting and investigation processes.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute regional strategic plans aligned with company goals.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities for growth within their region.
  • Implement new initiatives and programs to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
  • Assures that all SRG programs, SynRGy, Wellness, Genuine Hospitality and CARF Accreditations meet the highest level of standards and expectation.

  • Carries out projects and assignments at the request of VP and COO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience, preferably in the Senior Living field of service.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing senior living facilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team of community leaders.
  • Financial acumen and ability to analyze operational data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region to visit communities regularly.
